Tarrant Gunville Primitive Methodist preaching place

Tarrant Gunville is the most northerly of the Tarrant Valley villages. Blandford Museum has copies of Preaching Plans for 1912 and 1932 on which the village is listed. No chapel appears on any map that I’ve seen and the only information we have is that some years ago an elderly resident said she believed it had been at the northern end of the village opposite Yew Tree Cottage. Yew Tree Cottage still exists and a property has now been built opposite – Brushers Bank. There is a fascinating story from 1838 here .
Regarding the story, Muncton (Tarrant Monkton) did later get a Wesleyan chapel.
