This pipe organ dates from 1828, and is currently located in the Chapel at Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum. It was the first organ to be used in a Primitive Methodist Chapel, at Silsden, in Yorkshire – a very controversial innovation at the time.
It is an excellent example of a small instrument, and it is listed as a Historic Pipe Organ of National Importance. It has a single manual, and an iron-foot operated lever, which had to be pumped. In 1850, it was moved to Bradley Primitive Methodist Chapel, and returned to Silsden in 1909.
