Blessed Assurance

Another American hymn that became beloved by Primitive Methodists is Blessed Assurance.  It even found its way into the hymn book produced at Methodist Union in 1932.

With words written by Fanny Crosbie, blind writer of over 2,000 hymns, and tune by Phoebe Knapp, it was  published in the 1890  edition of Sacred Songs and Solos, compiled by Ira D Sankey.
