Mary Ann Sneath (?-1944)
FUNERAL OF MRS. D.J. SNEATH
The death of Mrs. D.J. Sneath occurred at “Mardon,” Enborne-road, after a short illness. Mrs. Sneath was for many years a regular worshipper at the Bartholomew-street Methodist Church, and was keenly interested in all the activities, especially those of the Women’s Own, of which she was a member.
The funeral took place on Jan. 13th, the service at the Bartholomew-street Methodist Church being conducted by the Rev. A Russell Potts. Mr. Charles Griffin, who was at the organ, played appropriate music as the congregation assembled and two hymns were sung, “Jerusalem the golden” and “Jesu, Lover of my soul.”
The interment was at the Newtown-road Cemetery in the same grave as that of her husband. The congregation was representative of the esteem in which Mrs. Sneath was held, many of her personal friends being present.
The personal mourners were; Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Plumb, Mrs B.J. Harding, Miss Eileen and Miss Joan Harding, Mr. Albert Noon, Mr. George Noon, Mrs Palmer.
