Iles, Elizabeth (nee Green, nee Starr) (1820-1879)

Family

Elizabeth was born in 1820 at Warren’s Green, Weston, Hertfordshire, to parents James, a labourer, and Ann. She was baptised on 5 November 1820 at Weston, Hertfordshire. he younger brother, James, was also a PM minister.

Elizabeth married Thomas Green (1809-1858),  a PM minister, on 18 April 1846 in the Swindon Registration District, Wiltshire. Census returns identify two children

• Elizabeth (b1847)   
• Mary Ann (abt1851-1859)   

Elizabeth married John Iles, a labourer, in late 1859 in the Highworth Registration District, Wiltshire. Census returns identify one child.

• Joseph (1862-1928) – a printer’s compositor (1881); a waterside labourer (1901)

Elizabeth died in early 1879 at Swindon, Wiltshire.
