Glemsford Primitive Methodist Chapel
Tye Green, Glemsford, CO10 7RH
Keith Guyler 1986
Glemsford is north west of Sudbury. Glemsford Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1915, one of the few opened during the First World War. It cost £495 and was opened on Whit Monday 1915. It seated 300 and had useful Sunday School hall and vestries .
Although the village had other non-conformist chapels, including Baptist and Congregationalist, the Primitive Methodists were the strongest and the chapel is still in use as Glemsford Methodist church today.
