Aby Primitive Methodist Chapel, School lane was built 1836 and closed 1911. This left the Wesleyan Chapel as the only church in the village (the parish church was demolished by Sir Henry Vane in 1660). Parochial loyalty now lies with the tiny settlement of Belleau.
The chapel was demolished and was replaced by the now village hall.
