Brough Primitive Methodist chapel

Brough ; Return from the Primitive Methodist chapel in the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious Worship
transcribed by David Tonks

The 1851 Census return tells us that Brough Primitive Methodist chapel was erected in 1825 and held 150 people.

Ordnance Survey maps show a Primitive Methodist chapel on the road to Church Brough, on the south side of the bridge over the River Eden.  It is now under the A66 road junction.
