Noneley Primitive Methodist chapel

Noneley Primitive  Methodist chapel

The parish of Loppington had two Methodist chapels, neither of which was in the main settlement of Loppington.  At Brown Heath, to the north west of Loppington was a Wesleyan Methodist chapel and to the south east, towards the hamlet of Noneley, was a Primitive Methodist chapel. There must have been considerable competition between them, as they were opened at almost the same time. The Prim chapel was opened in 1872 with the Wesleyan chapel in 1873.

Noneley chapel was on the 1900 Ordnance Survey map, but had disappeared by the 1924 map. There is a cluster of trees on the site on Street View in 2009.
