The 1880 and 1899 Ordnance Survey maps show a Primitive Methodist chapel just the the west of the main road, south of the junction with the road from Pepperstreet.
A replacement chapel was built towards the north of the hamlet on the west side of the B5476.
In 2023 both buildings still exist, in residential use.
