Bowdon Primitive Methodist chapel

Bowdon: Return from the Primitive Methodist chapel in the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious Worship
transcribed by David Tonks

THe return to the 1851 Census of places of Public Religious Worship completed by William Clarke, the steward, tells us that Bowdon Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1847. Although he describes it as a small chapel, it held 150 people. Afternoon attendance was 40 and evening attendance 36, with a morning Sunday school of 53.

Where was this chapel and what happened to it?
