Garthorpe Primitive Methodist chapel

Garthorpe Primitive Methodist chapel

Garthorpe Primitive Methodist chapel in the Swinefleet station was taken down and rebuilt in 1890.  Additional land was acquired and the new chapel included a school room.

Garthorpe had two chapels: a Wesleyan one on High Street which still stands and a second one on Shore Street – probably the Prim chapel.  Both chapels are still marked as chapels on the 1948 Ordnance Survey map. On Street View in 2009, the village hall stands on the site of the second chapel.

Can you confirm whether this was the site of the Prim chapel?
