Forsbrook Primitive Methodist Chapel, Staffordshire

Forsbrook Chapel: taken by William Blake of Longton

Forsbrook is located between Blythe Bridge and Cheadle.

In 1856 the present Primitive Methodist chapel was built in what is now known as Chapel Lane Forsbrook.
The attached photograph was taken by the renowned early twentieth century Longton photographer William Blake, who was active in the villages bordering onto and in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The postcard is postally franked as July 1907, (PM Centenary) and appears to depict a harvest celebration, so presumably this could relate to 1906.
It is currently part of the Stoke South Methodist circuit.
NB William Blake photographed a number of the local chapels.
