Chapel Lane Hockering NR20 3HR

Hockering Primitive Methodist chapel

The 1897 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us that the old chapel at Hockering in the East  Dereham circuit  has been practically rebuilt. . Previously it was “quaint” with a gallery up in the roof.  Now the gallery had been removed and the building extended.

In 2009 the chapel still exists, in residential use. It still carries a carved stone declaring “Primitive Methodist chapel renovated 1897”.
