The 1897 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us that the old chapel at Hockering in the East Dereham circuit has been practically rebuilt. Previously it was “quaint” with a gallery up in the roof. Now the gallery had been removed and the building extended.
In 2009 the chapel still exists, in residential use. It still carries a carved stone declaring “Primitive Methodist chapel renovated 1897”.
