Searching through the OS 25″ maps for the period around 1900 brings up quite a few unrecorded PM chapels.
Upper Heworth was located at NZ28288 60445. Street Map does not show any evidence of a building, so the site is on my visit list for 2023 to check.
The chapel was adjacent to the mine (Ada Pit), which employed 1,000 men, women and children at its peak around 1894.
