John Walley has located a former Primitive Methodist chapel on Station Road, in a terraced row between Leamside and West Rainton. In 2022 it is in residential use.
It appears that the former chapel is on the right and Sunday school on the left.
It is marked on the 1895 Ordnance Survey maps and is still marked in 1939
