Waterhouses Primitive Methodist chapel

Waterhouses Primitive Methodist chapel

The 1884 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us they were starting work on  a new  schoolroom at the Primitive Methodist chapel at Waterhouses in the Crook station.

The 1897 Ordnance Survey map shows a Primitive Methodist chapel on the northern side of the railway line at the end of Whitwell Street. Whitwell Street was on the opposite side of the line to Station Street.  It was on the 1947 map but no longer exists; neither does the chapel.
