The September 1877 Primitive Methodist magazine records the laying of the memorial stones for a new Primitive Methodist chapel at Kirklington in the Bedales station. We are told nothing more. The December edition tells us it has been opened.
However, the 1892 Ordnance Survey map shows a Primitive Methodist chapel on the Green in Kirklington. It is still there in 1909. The label disappears by 1929, although the building remains. On the site in 2008/2011 is a building of similar size that seems to carry a tablet on its front, although Street View does not go close enough to enable it to be read.
