Christian Messenger 1911/92

Charnwood Road Primitive Methodist Chapel (i) is situated behind the 1913 chapel. It was built in 1877 (image 3) and measured 39 feet by 25 feet, seating 230. The entrance was on the north side and the façade still has the name plaque and an original window. It is also possible to perceive the ghost of the original entrance (image 1).

The west side still has two original windows (image 2). Most architectural detail has been concealed by rendering but the general impression is of a plain but attractive and well lit building.
