Bawdeswell Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1866. The building is constructed of brick and flint with a pantile roof, and has a gabled front with round-arched doorway and small tablet dated 1856. It served until the 1950s and at the time of Keith Guyler’s photograph in 1998 was a rented 3 bedroomed house – ‘Midsummer Cottage’
