Nunns Road Primitive Methodist Chapel, Colchester was built in 1873 and sold in 1946. The building accounts show a payment for ‘boarding up the old chapel’ (which was possibly on North Hill).

When the chapel first came on the plan, it was listed as ‘Ebenezer Chapel, North Hill’, however it was situated on Nunns Road. After Union it was known as Nunns Road Methodist Chapel, and was a very struggling cause. This might have been due to proximity with the Culver Street Methodist Church and the nearby Railway Mission. The building is still clearly discernible although adapted for residential use.
