The return from the Primitive Methodist preaching place in Perranzabuloe to the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious worship was completed by the Class Leader, John Jenkin.

He reported that the society met in a dwelling house erected in 1844 and the average attendance on a Sunday morning was 30 people. On Census Sunday, only 9 people attended in the afternoon.
