At the time of Union, and beyond, there were two Primitive Methodist chapels in Loughborough: Swan Street, and Nottingham Road. Photographs of both can be seen on this website. The Mission in Duke Street was the link between the two, founded by members of Swan Street in 1889, and replaced by the chapel on Nottingham Road in 1892.

It is believed that the factory in these photographs was the one occupied by the Mission.
