East Keswick Primitive Methodist chapel was opened on January 16th 1848 by GW Armitage and T Ratcliffe. It was based in the Tadcaster branch of the Hull circuit.
The debt on the new chapel was £120 which they hoped to reduce to £100.
Membership was rising: William Youlle tells us so.
I cannot see a Primitive Methodist chapel on the 1893 Ordnance Survey map. Had it closed by then?
