The 1851 Census of Public Places of Religious Worship contains a report for Bromham Primitive Methodist chapel.  The report was completed by Moses Breach, a farmer of Chittoe near Chippenham.

The chapel was opened in 1840, seated 150, and the average attendance was 150 with 40 scholars in the Sunday School
