Spilsby: Newtown Primitive Methodist Chapel
Lincolnshire Archives, Lincoln has he following records relating to this chapel.
Ref. ML1 (I?) 99203: Newtown Primitive Methodist Chapel, Spilsby was built in 1855 then used until 1889. It then became a Parish Room and a new plaque was put up with wording and date “St. James Parish Room, 1889”. Alterations were then made to building.
The chapel was in the following circuits at the dates indicated:
Louth Primitive Methodist Circuit 1855-1883
(Spilsby Branch formed a distinct unit within Louth Circuit from 1857)
Spilsby Primitive Methodist Circuit 1883-1889
