Deddington is a civil parish in Oxfordshire about 6 miles south of Banbury.
The British History Online website regarding Deddington reports the following.
“Primitive Methodists were said to have a chapel in Deddington by 1879, perhaps the later Salvation Army barracks, established by 1898 and said to have been formerly a ‘little Bethel’. In 1890 the arrival of the Salvation Army was said to have caused a fall in church attendance. The barracks in New Street, disused by 1932, are in brick with stone dressings.”
