Kindleysides, Emily (nee Harris) (1869-1916)

Transcription of obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine by J.G. Bowran

Mrs. Emily Kindleysides was born in Stockton on April 11th, 1868, and all her years have been identified with the Paradise Row Church, her family being ever to the fore in worship and in service. In maidenhood she found an ideal sphere in the Sunday school.

Her marriage was singularly happy, and her home life full of peace. With her husband and her two sons she was regular in attendance at the services and most generous in her gifts.

For three years she was a sufferer. To the last she effaced herself and her pains in order to be with her loved ones. Her patience and brightness were only explicable in the wonderful grace of God. She had a most winsome disposition, and was loved by all who knew her.

She went home to God on Sunday, April 30th, and was laid to rest on Wednesday, May 3rd, the writer conducting the service. It was a gratification that her elder son got leave of absence from his regiment and saw his mother ere she died. For her husband and sons, her mother and the family, the deepest sympathy is felt.
