Nattrass, Timothy (1831-1898)

Family

Timothy was born on 11 March 1831 to parents Timothy, a lead miner, and Jane. He was baptised on 12 March 1831 at Heathery Cleugh, Co. Durham. His brother John was also a PM minister.

Timothy worked as a lead miner before entering the ministry.

He married Maria Bates (abt1832-1904). Census returns identify six children.

• Martha (1857-1940) – married James H Ferguson, an upholsterer, in 1878; died in Detroit, Michigan
• Anne (b abt1859) – married Hugh A McCallum, a physician, in 1887
• John Cuthbert (1862-1946) – a druggist (1910)
• Nellie (abt1864-1898) – married William A. Telfer
• Mary (1866-1888)
• Maria (b abt1868) – a nurse (1911)

Timothy died on 3 September 1898 at London, Ontario.
