Evans, John (1844-1940)

Family

John was born on 27 August at Whitchurch, Cardiff, Glamorgan.

He married Annie Elizabeth Cooper (b abt1846) in the summer of 1873 at Peterborough, Northamptonshire. Census returns identify five children.

• Arthur Maybury (1874-1967) – a printer (19001); a political writer for Chicago Tribune (1918); died in Pinellas, Florida, USA
• William J (b abt1877) – a plumber (1901)
• Charles Edward (abt1878-1898)
• Edgar James (1879-1958) – a supply clerk (1901)
• Percy John (b abt1883) – a salesman (1910)

By the time of the 1900 US census, John married Jane Pascoe (b1846-1907).

John and family emigrated to USA in 1884, he continued as a minister in the USA.

John died on 30 October 1940 at Alameda , California.
