The 1896 Primitive Methodist magazine reports that the Primitive Methodist Connexion had just bought The Church of the Saviour in Birmingham. The property consisted of church, schoolrooms and offices.
It was a new initiative for the Connexion and was to be run as a mission, both evangelistic and social.
The Primitive Methodist magazine of September 1900 records a series of new halls that had been erected in Birmingham at a cost of not less than £6,000 or £7,000. The new buildings would give “a presence worth of the Connexion”.
