The laying of the foundation stones for a new mission chapel Primitive Methodist chapel at Limeside Road in the Oldham Third station is recorded in the Primitive Methodist magazine of October 1894.
Where was the chapel? On late Nineteenth and early Twentieth century Ordnance Survey maps there is no chapel or mission room I can find on Limeside Road. There was a large Primitive Methodist chapel on Hollins Road, just east of the junction with Limeside Road.
The current (2021) Limeside Methodist Church opened in a new building in 1960 on the corner of Limeside Road and Pine Tree Road (Grid Ref SD 91521 02164 ) .
