According to J.W. Fawcett in his Memorials of early Primitive Methodism in the County of Durham 1820-1829, 1908 (pp. 44, 45) Samuel Laister preached at Redworth on 23 July 1821 and William Clowes and F. N. Jersey on 24 January 1822.

James Anderson, Steward, who signed the 1851 return, was  a 46 year old Stone Cutter, originally from Scotland, who lived in the village of Redworth with his wife Mary and daughter Susannah.
