Ausden, George Ernest (1868-1918)

Family

George was born in the summer of 1868 at Boxmoor, Hertfordshire, to parents Jesse, a blacksmith, and Ann.

After leaving the ministry, George worked as a blacksmith (1901) and builder’s estimating clerk (1911)

He married Dora Louisa Cozens (1881-1960) in late 1903 at Canterbury, Kent. Census returns identify two children.

• Dora Ada (1904-1988) – married Alan B Morriss in 1925
• Marion Annie (1908-1999) – married Leslie Constantine Walter Hever, a boot repairer, in 1929; married Frederick K Hills in 1947

George died on 17 March 1918 at Lymington, Hampshire.

Dora married Ernest J Tucker in 1920.
