Jeynes, Alfred George (1849-1932)

Family

Alfred was born abt1849 at Marylebone, Middlesex, to parents George William Jeynes, a dispensing chemist (1851), and Maria Bloyce. George later married Mahala Bloyce in 1858.

The 1871 census return identifies Alfred as a painter. The 1928 New Zealand electoral role also gives his occupation as painter.

He married Agnes Colgate, nee French (1856-1928) in 1883 in New Zealand. Records identify one child.

• Fanny Lilian (1885-1971) – married Michael John Ryan in 1904

Alfred died on 27 June 1932 at Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand.
