Return from Bower Chalke Primitive Methodist preaching room in the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious Worship
Provided by David Tonks

The return from Bower Chalke Primitive Methodist chapel in the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious Worship was completed by William Flemington, a local preacher. The society met in a dwelling house – but it might have been an impressive house as the attendance on the evening of Census Sunday was 96 people.
