Family
Enoch was born on 24 March 1828 at Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, to parents Henry, a confectioner, and Hannah. he was baptised on 18 March 1829 at Bethesda New Connexion Chapel, Albion St, Shelton, Staffordshire.
After leaving the PM ministry, Enoch transferred to the Methodist New Connexion. However, census returns reveal that by 1881 he had moved to the English Presbyterian Church.
He married Nancy Parker (1831-1897) in the spring of 1854 at Ripon, Yorkshire. Census returns identify one child.
- Ebenezer Heane Elstob (abt1864-1919) – a Presbyterian minister
Enoch died on 20 December 1893 at Wigan, Lancashire.
