Amy Pepper

My ggggrandmother

I am trying to find out the maiden name of my ggggrandmother, Amy Pepper, who was born in Kynaston, Herefordshire, 1801. According to the 1851 Greenwich, Kent, census.

Amy Pepper and William Pepper baptised their seven daughters at St Alphege Parish church, Greenwich, KentĀ  from 1817 – 1835. Elizabeth Pepper was born 13th July, 1817 and baptised on the 15th July, 1817 along with her twin sister, Rachel Pepper, my gggrandmother. Elizabeth Pepper, died nine months later and was buried in the Royal Greenwich Hospital Non-Conformist burial ground on the 17th April, 1818. RG4_1672.

Rachel Pepper died Greenwich 1897.

William Pepper fought on the Leviathan at the Battle of Trafalgar 1805. And became a Greenwich Outpensioner in 1815. And an Inpensioner at Royal Greenwich Hospital 1840. I have not been able to find a marriage of William Pepper and Amy.

If anyone could help me locate Amy’s baptism in Kynaston I would be very grateful.

John Dedman

PS: Rachel Pepper Baptised 1817.

Elizabeth Pepper 1817 (Twin).

Caroline Pepper Baptised 1822. Died 1826. Burial Non-Conformist burial ground Greenwich 20th June 1826. RG4_1673
