I am researching my family history. The Stewart family were active Methodists in the Seaton Delaval and Blyth areas of Northumberland in the late 19th century.
I am trying to locate a memorial to my great grandfather Thomas Stewart that was displayed in Seaton Delaval Primitive Methodist church from 1902. He was a local Methodist preacher and Sunday school leader who emigrated to South Africa and died near to Durban at Pinetown Bridge in 1901. I have some photographs of the memorial but would love to know if it still exists and to locate it.
If anyone has any information that would help me I would love to hear from you.
