ECCLES, Robert William ( 25 Oct 1859 – 25 Feb 1898). Dearly beloved son of widowed Ann ECCLES. ( later Ann Christian m Heinrick Christian ) ( maiden name Nancy Pratt ) , and brother of George ECCLES , who belonged to Williamson St , Primitive Methodist Chapel , Hull , before he served in the Salvation Army in South Africa , where he tragically drowned at Kokstad. Leaving a wife and child to mourn their loss .
As Great Niece of Robert William ECCLES , I am privileged to have inherited some of the Joiners Tools which he passed to my Great Grandfather, George , and which have subsequently been used in cabinet making by my Grandfather and Father , who also inherited his name ‘ Robert ‘ .
