Andison, Arthur (1884-1914)
Transcription of obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine by J.W.
Claremont Street Church and Sunday school, in the Leicester IV. Circuit, has sustained a great loss by the home call of Mr. Arthur Andison in his thirty-first year. Of a singularly sweet and gracious disposition, from his earliest years he manifested a religious spirit, and was greatly beloved.
Deeply interested in our Connexional literature, he rendered special service as magazine steward for many years. A most devoted Sunday school teacher, he took a deep interest in the Band of Hope. His piety was not demonstrative or boisterous, but it was transparent and sincere. His life was one of rare winsomeness and full of noble self-sacrifice.
Twelve months before his translation he seemed full of strength and vigour, and likely to live for many years. But suddenly his health seemed to give way, and on September 30th he passed beyond the shadows. Much sympathy was felt for his widow and young babe.
