21 July 1913 Alfred Edward Barlow married Mary A Yeaman at the Grange Road Primitive Methodist church by the Rev F Humble – does anyone have access to the Parish Records or even a family search version.
I am searching for anything that gives Alfred ‘s father name, a place of birth would also be helpful. Alfred was my grandfather’s best friend; my grandfather married his widow – so though no ancestor of mine, he is the ancestor of other family members. I have hit a genealogical brickwall. Of course 65 people on line have given credit for being a bigamist who ran of the US with another wife in 1924, I have a proof of death January 1918 so very wrong. I have more than 20 years experience in genealogy,know all the ins and outs and have never found a person who could not be found; very helpful was the putting of the cloudflare over our internet which blocks family search, one of main go to places.

He was baptised on 16 November 1890 at Stranton, Co. Durham.
The 1901 census return records his father as William, born abt1859 in Rossendale, Lancashire, a stationer & stationer’s agent.
In 1911 Alfred is recorded as a commercial traveller. William was married to Margaret Tait (b abt1860).
