Family

George was born on 30 June 1812 in Stockport, Cheshire to parents Edmund and Sarah Dawson. He was baptised on 19 July 1812.

George married Sarah Tomlinson (1815-1884) in on 19 August 1837 at Duffield, Derbyshire. They had three children.

• Elizabeth (b1843)
• Sarah (1847-1871) – a teacher

George died on 29 Aug 1863 at Kings Lynn. After George had died the 1871 and 1881 census returns give Sarah’s occupation as ‘Domestic Missionary’.
