Family
William was born in January 1826 at Burghill, Herefordshire, to parents William and Elizabeth. He was baptised on 5 February 1827 at Burghill.
A Family Tree on Ancestry.com identifies that he married Martha Ann Holmes (1833-1899) and that they had nine children. I have not been able to independently verify that information in online records. Based on the birth places of the children, William travelled to New Zealand via Canada and Australia, arriving in New Zealand between 1864 and 1866.
William died on 9 September 1909 at Wellington, New Zealand.
