Dowson, Hugh Bourne (1875-1943)

Family

Hugh was born on 23 June 1875 at Ashford, Kent, to parents George Dowson, PM minister, and Eliza Dinnick.

The 1911 census return describes Hugh as a non-conformist minister. The 1939 Register describes Hugh as Rector, suggesting he ended up as a Church of England clergyman.

He married Edith Annie Gee (1877-1948) in the spring of 1904 at Manchester, Lancashire.
