Garnett, Robert (1830-1915)

Family

Robert was born on 26 November 1830 at Orton, Westmorland.

He retired from the ministry due to ill health and went to live in Cohoe, Co. Durham.

Robert died on 5 January 1915.

The attached documents provide a biography of Robert. They are a booklet entitled “A Man of Solid Worth” written by the Reverend W. John Young former minister to the Thornley Circuit (now disbanded) in County Durham. The documents were provided by Jack Turton of the Cohoe Local History Group.
