Family

Thomas was born on 9 December 1827 at Beverley, Yorkshire, to parents William, a cordwainer, and Frances. He was baptised the following day at Beverley Independent Chapel.

He married Eliza Dale (1829-1906) on 4 July 1854 at Fishlake, Yorkshire. Census returns identify four children.

• Lorenzo William (abt1856-1919) – a dealer in wines and spirits (1911)
• Selina Anne (1857-1878)
• Frederick George (1859-1903) – a general practitioner in medicine (1891)
• Arthur Thomas (1862-1944) – a grocer and confectioner (1911)

Thomas died on 1 April 1888 at Fishlake, Yorkshire
