Ramm, Ezra Edward William (1887-1971)

Family

Ezra was born on 8 February 1887 at Litcham, Norfolk, to parents George Henry Ramm, an ironmonger (1887) and later a blacksmith (1911), and Georgiana. He was baptised on 11 February 1887 at Litcham.

After leaving the Methodist ministry Ezra became an Anglican priest. He was vicar of St Christopher, Winfrith Newburgh 1948-1964.

He married Dorothy Mary Allcock (1892-1981) in early 1918 at Knighton, Radnorshire. Birth Records identify four children.

  • Peter Marcus Campbell (1921-1934)
  • Norwyn Macdonald (1924-2002) – an Anglican clergyman; chaplain to Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II (1985-1994)
  • Patrick George (1928-1968)
  • Malcolm M (b1930)

Ezra died in the summer of 1971 at Poole, Dorset
