Reavley, Matthew (1850-1937)

Family

Matthew was born in 1850 at at Carville, Co. Durham, to parents John, a coal miner, and Mary.  He was baptised on 16 April 1850 at Durham. His younger brother, Joseph, was also a PM minister.

Before entering the ministry Matthew worked as a coal miner.

He married Ann Brown (1850-1888) on 10 July 1877 at Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. Census returns identify two children.

• Elizabeth (b abt1881)

Matthew died on 1 January 1937 at Croydon, New South Wales, Australia.
