This was possibly Christopher Ritson, born in 1840 at Longbenton, Northumberland, to parents John Ritson, a coal miner, and Esther Fairs.

He was also a call miner (1861). Christopher died in October 1866 at Chester le Street. he was buried on 14 October 1866 at Chester le Street.
